LAKE PLAINS
COMMUNITY CARE NETWORK
announces:

Community Based Recovery Coach Training & Certification Initiative

A Collaboration among LPCCN, GCASA, HRSA
and Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming Counties

LPCCN Recovery Coach Training and NYS Certification Initiative Description:

In an effort to increase the number of qualified Peer Recovery Coaches to effectively impact the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) crisis in Western NY, The Lake Plains Community Care Network (LPCCN), has secured grant funding through Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This community collaborative serving Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming Counties is looking to sponsor Recovery Peers, Affected Family Members and Ally’s - to participate in the CCAR Recovery Coach Training facilitated by Recovery Coach University.

QUALIFICATIONS:
There will be two training groups ("Cohorts") and associated dates offered through this initiative and slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Qualified participants will have a high school diploma or equivalent, will identify as a Peer* (in Recovery), an Affected Family Member*, or an Ally* - those currently employed by an SUD Treatment and/or Recovery Services provider. Additionally they will agree to full participation including full 6 days of training, NYS certification completion and monthly ongoing group mentoring sessions. They must have the intention of completing their CRPA Certification and contributing Recovery Support Services in their community in either a paid or voluntary capacity.

Please complete the registration below. Also select which cohort/dates you prefer to attend (we will do our best to provide you with your preferred cohort/dates.)

Keep in mind that you must commit to the dates provided and attend 100% of the training in order to achieve a certificate of completion.  If you are unable to commit to all 6 dates, 9 - 5 pm, you are not eligible to participate in this training. Please do not register! This will prevent another qualified individual from participating!

* Peer / Recovery Support Specialists - individuals who are in recovery from substance use or co-occurring mental health disorders. Their life experiences and recovery allow them to provide recovery support in such way that others can benefit from their experiences.

* Affected Family Members - individuals who have been affected by a loved one’s Substance Use Disorder and hope to support other families in the community.

* Ally - individuals working in the SUD Treatment/Recovery field wishing to achieve CRPA certification to enhance their service delivery.
