This 4 Hr. Ethics Workshop will provide the experienced Peer Recovery Professional  with a review of CCAR’s Ethical Considerations, important terms and ethical principles, and hands on application of a Three Step Ethical Decision Process to actual PRP scenarios in a variety of work settings.

As the title suggests, the majority of this training is focused on applying these considerations to practical, relevant, and actual Peer Recovery Scenarios and group discussions. Come prepared to share ethical scenarios from your own practice and apply the discipline of ethical decision making to assess your past response and identify any course corrections for future application.

    • Common Ethical Terms and Concepts specific to the Peer Recovery Profession

    • Ethical Guidelines - What are they? Why are they important?

  • Ethical Implications of venturing outside of “Our Lane” as Recovery Peer Professional

  • How to Establish and Communicate your Boundaries (and Template for a Peer RC Working Agreement)

  • William White’s Three Step Decision Process

  • “Real Playing” - Applying Ethical Considerations to Real Scenarios

  • The NYCB Code of Ethics - Know Your Professional Obligations

Great training ! The four hours went by so fast because I felt engaged and it was probably one of the best trainings I have taken.

I always learn so much from Lori/RCU. She provides the most up to date techniques with emphasis on person centered care. I left this training feeling more confident in my role as a CRPA. Thank you for all that you do RCU!
