JOIN THE MOVEMENT
The evidence is indisputable.
Many participants attend the recovery coach workshops simply to become more proficient in the skills of a Recovery Coach and more knowledgeable about the Recovery Movement. Others wish to become certified and use their certification as a community volunteer or in private practice (CARC) or by working as a Peer Professional within an agency (CRPA).
In New York State and across the country, there is a tremendous need for Peer Recovery Support. Evidence shows that Peer Support increases client engagement in treatment services, and decreases treatment center drop-out rates. Peers are often the link to community based services and support, so vital in early recovery. They offer a compassionate hand when others judge and shun.
At RCU, we hope to help fill and support this need by providing Recovery Coach Training and ongoing development support for those wishing to pursue their Certification. We offer regularly scheduled classes and can also facilitate in-house trainings. In-house options can also be combined with other agencies, schools and organizations.
Check out our Training programs and consider certification as a CARC, CRPA, PSP or other New York Certification Board Certifications.
