All RCU Trainings
Welcome to Recovery Coach University (RCU) Training Programs
What you Need to Know:
Logistics: All RCU Training Programs are offered virtually (Zoom) and are held in Eastern Standard Time zone (EST). We enjoy and welcome participants from NYS as well as across North America and internationally; English language is spoken and used in all class materials and documentation. Unfortunately, at this time translation is not available. Most RCU trainings are also available for private groups of 12 or more. Contact RCU for Private Group Training opportunities. Registration and payment is made by clicking on the blocks below and selecting your choice of program dates.
Equipment: All RCU trainings require learners to have both audio and video capability; a laptop is preferred. Some require the purchase of a participant manual. 100% attendance is required (video on) because these are certification-approved workshops.
Certifications: In general, participants outside of NYS prefer building toward their CARC Certification (New Yorkers tend to apply for both CRPA and CARC Certifications, depending on career aspirations.). CARC is increasingly recognized as a quality certification for Recovery Coaches both inside and outside of NYS. Most RCU Trainings also apply to Certifications outside of NYS. For Certifications in NYS it is always wise to consult the ASAP-NYCB Website with specific questions not answered here. For all other state certification requirements check with your state’s certification board.
Approvals: All RCU trainings are ASAP-NYCB approved for CRPA and CARC Certifications. Nearly all RCU Training Programs are also ASAP NYS approved for Social Work CEs and OASAS approved for CASAC, CPP and CPS Renewal CE’s at no additional cost. Check individual workshop web pages to verify all approvals. It is always best to verify certification requirements with your certifying body.
