CRPA and CARC Certification Renewal Workshops

All RCU Renewal Courses are NYCB approved for CRPA and CARC Renewal Certification through 3-31-2027.

CRPA Renewals (every 3 years) require 24 hours (21 after July 1, 2026) of NYCB-approved renewal training plus 4 Hours (9 beginning July 2026*) Peer Ethics for CRPA & CARC renewals; 28 total hours (30 beginning July 2026) from the choices below.

CARC Renewals (every 3 years) require 15 Hours of NYCB-approved renewal training plus 3 Hours Peer Ethics Workshop* (18 total hours, from the choices below.

* Effective July 1, 2026, NYCB requires 9 hours approved Ethics CEs for CRPA Renewal. Total CRPA Renewal Hours increases to 30 hours. Note: CARC remains the same (18 total including minimum 3 Ethics.)

* All RCU Workshops are approved by IUA-NYCB for Renewal Hours (and many are also approved for Initial CARC Certification Hours) - click on individual courses to see approval badges. Also approved for CASAC Renewal hours. Please request OASAS Certificate in class for CASAC Renewal.
* All RCU courses are approved through March, 2027.

* These Ethics Workshops are approved to meet the 4 (9 after July, 2026) Hr. Peer Ethics Renewal Requirement for CRPA and 3 Hr. Ethics Requirement for CARC Certifications:

These Workshops are all approved to meet the remaining 24 (21 beginning July 2026) Certification Renewal CE Hours Requirements for CRPA and 15 CE Renewal CE Hours for CARC:

NOTE: 4 Hr. Medication Supported Recovery is approved for Renewal CE’s ONLY IF not taken previously as a CRPA / CARC 50 Hr. Foundational Course (usually applies only to Certifications received prior to 2021).
