4 Hr. Medication Supported Recovery* (MSR/MAT)

Medication Supported Recovery (MSR) curriculum was developed by Lori Drescher, Founder, Recovery Coach University; CARC, RCP, RCPF, Member-MINT

Course Description:
Medication Supporter Recovery (MSR, formerly MAT) is an important component of addiction treatment modalities and recovery pathways. This 1/2 day workshop offers recovery coaches and peer recovery professionals the opportunity to understand and explore the realities, myths and stigmas in support of addiction treatment and sustained recovery.  In addition to commonly known and prescribed therapies we will also explore the growing field of harm reduction and alternative therapies. Importantly, this workshop provides recovery support professionals the opportunity to explore their own biases and perspectives toward this often-stigmatized recovery pathway. “You Are In Recovery When You Say You Are.” - CCAR Recovery Coach Academy

I loved Erin! She was so enthusiastic about the training that it made everyone else feel the same way about it also! I’d rate her a 10 if I could! And because of her, the materials were all presented in a captivating way where I didn’t lose interest.

Anyone supporting individuals in recovery should take this class. You will learn the most current medications used to treat addiction and support recovery; most importantly you will learn how to suspend your natural biases and truly meet a person where they are, not where you want them to be.
